MISSION STATEMENT
Hope in Motion, a Peer-run drop-in center, provides a safe, friendly and comfortable environment for socialization, support, education, and information on a variety of topics, offered for Peers who are experiencing mental health and or substance abuse by Peers living in recovery.
At Hope in Motion, you can talk, build relationships, play games, watch a movie or learn through a variety of educational opportunities. Socialization, recovery and education are the primary goals of the Center.
ADMISSION, CONTINUED STAY, AND EXCLUSION CRITERIA
Individuals affected by mental illness substance abuse or traumatic brain injury may participate at the center. Peers involved in the development of the center have determined that exclusion would be based on behavior (s) not acceptable for participation (intoxication, physical violence, inappropriate language, verbal abuse of others and or property damage, sexual contact) behaviors that are not conducive to a comfortable, recovery environment.
